Surprise proposals will always have a special place in my heart, and this one at Foothills Parkway was pure magic.

He reached out to me ahead of time, and together we planned every detail. The goal was simple: keep it a secret. She thought I was just a photographer capturing nature photos along the parkway. When I casually offered to take a photo of the two of them, she had absolutely no idea what was about to happen.

As the sun dipped lower and golden hour wrapped the mountains in warm light, everything fell perfectly into place.

The moment he got down on one knee, time seemed to slow. Her reaction was filled with surprise, joy, and the kind of emotion you can’t fake, wide smiles, happy tears, and that instant realization that life just changed forever. Those are the moments I live for as a photographer.

My favorite part wasn’t just the proposal itself,  it was the way he looks at her. That quiet, steady love. The kind you feel more than you see. Capturing that connection, especially in a place as breathtaking as Foothills Parkway, is such an honor.

Proposals are special to me because they hold so much meaning. They’re romantic, sweet, and full of hope. They’re that exact moment you dream about when you’re little,  the start of forever, frozen in time. Being trusted to document that once-in-a-lifetime “yes” is something I never take lightly.

Golden hour, mountain views, genuine emotion, this proposal was everything a love story should be.
