Abby and Logan
Some weddings stay with you long after the last photo is delivered and Abby and Logan’s day is one I’ll always hold close to my heart.
This summer July wedding in Knoxville, Tennessee was intimate, joyful, and filled with so much genuine love. With around 60 of their closest friends and family gathered to celebrate, the entire day felt warm, relaxed, and deeply personal, exactly the kind of wedding I love documenting most.
Abby and I go way back. Before I ever photographed her wedding day, we worked together in childcare. She was my assistant teacher, and from the very beginning we connected instantly. I remember her talking about Logan when they first started dating, the way she spoke about him, I just knew. Some love stories feel steady and sure from the start, and theirs was one of them.
Being invited into such an important chapter of her life, not just as a photographer, but as someone she trusted , was truly an honor. Watching Abby and Logan together on their wedding day filled my heart in the best way. The support, the laughter, the quiet moments between them... it was all so real.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was their first look, or should I say fake first look. Logan stood waiting, emotions high... only to turn around and find one of his groomsmen dressed in a white wedding gown instead of Abby. The laughter that followed was contagious and instantly set the tone for a day full of joy and personality. It was such a perfect reflection of who they are, playful, lighthearted, and completely themselves.
From emotional moments to editorial-style portraits, their wedding day was the perfect blend of candid storytelling and intentional posing. I focused on capturing the natural in-between moments just as much as the beautifully composed ones, because both matter when telling a wedding story honestly.
Abby and Logan’s wedding wasn’t about perfection. It was about love, laughter, and celebrating with the people who matter most, and those are always the days worth remembering.
